Paint Correction Packages

A vehicle’s paint has to withstand a lot of abuse through it’s lifetime. From being out in extreme climates to being mechanically scrubbed during a washing and detailing process where dirt and microscopic rocks are wiped across the surface. Due to this the clear coat on a vehicle does start to show tell tale signs of age from no longer being optically clear (fading) to being covered in billions of microscopic scratches from washing (swirl marks). Add into this mix etching from calcium and other minerals in water and damage from deeper scratches and bird droppings and the paper thin layer of clear coat has a very important task of protecting the coloured layer of paint underneath it.  These imperfections in the clear coat can however be permanently removed through using fine abrasive compounds and polishes to constantly refine the surface until a perfect mirror like gloss is achieved. In the professional detailing industry we call this process of machine polishing out imperfections in the clear coat Paint Correction.

Paint Correction Package [Exterior Only]

For enthusiasts that want the best possible gloss and depth from their vehicle’s paintwork paint correction is a must, especially on dark coloured paintwork which shows the imperfections in the clear coat much easier then lighter coloured vehicles.

Vehicle’s clear coat is thoroughly measured to ensure a safe amount of paint is available.
Compounding and machine polishing is performed to remove swirl marks, water marks and light scratches.
For deeper scratches that aren’t through the clear coat fine wet sanding is performed.
Finally vehicle is either waxed, sealed or coated depending on customers requirements and budget.

From $650 [2-3 days required]

Orange Peel Removal Package [Exterior Only]

Texture in the clear coat can leave a wavy, orange peel like look to a vehicle that is undesirable by owners wanting the very best from their paintwork, especially for a vehicle built for show purposes. This orange peel can however be “flattened” through wet sanding and machine polishing techniques to heavily reduce the texture for a more mirror like finish, especially on black paint. This process is however very advanced and not suitable for every vehicle depending on how much clear coat we have to play with.

Vehicle’s clear coat is thoroughly measured to ensure a safe amount of paint is available.
Vehicle wet sanded with a variety of grits to remove the most amount of orange peel.
Paint measured again to ensure an excessive amount of clear coat hasn’t been removed.
Compounding and machine polishing is performed to remove all traces of sanding marks.
Finally vehicle is either waxed, sealed or coated depending on customers requirements and budget.
